Kaiden & Gavin

Age: 6-7

These two mischievous, energetic and affectionate boys need a good home that can provide them the boundaries and love that they need. They are looking for active families who can help them continue in the growth that they have already made.

Kaiden 7

"My name is Kaiden. After school I like to play outside and run. I like to play on the trampoline, too. With a family, I would like to have movie night, dance, go on bike rides, swim, camp and play board games. I would like to be an only child. Except for Gavin.

I want a mom and dad who are nice, funny, and someone who will do stuff with me and be affectionate. When I am a dad, I will let my kids eat pizza, and if they are older than 20 then they can get their own pizza. They also would have to work to get video games and stuff. I would really like to learn to play the drums, ride a motorcycle, skateboard and go see Tony Hawk. I really like playing in school. I like rock and roll music and my favorite food is pizza. I don't really like pets."

Kaiden's foster mother describes him as "a very loving child who is also a go-getter." He is active and loves to play sports, including baseball and soccer. Kaiden is also very helpful and will do any task that is asked of him. Parental supervision is necessary with Kaiden as he is still learning about good boundaries.

Parent(s) who are good at providing a structured yet encouraging environment would find a great asset in having Kaiden and Gavin become a part of their family.

Gavin 6

"I am Gavin. I like to play outside and play football. I really like to play with my family, and I like movie night with popcorn. I would like to be the only child so that there could be no rules. I like moms who give hugs and dads who play. I like rock and roll and country music. I really like pizza and tomatoes."

Gavin is a shy, endearing little boy. He enjoys the company of other children and gets along well with others. His social worker describes him as "a hard working and sensitive boy." Gavin is doing really well at learning to assert himself so that his needs are met.

Gavin tries very hard in school. He has been making significant progress in his writing, which he practices every day. He is also learning new coping skills with the help of a structured environment.

Both boys are fun-loving and high energy and are making great strides in learning appropriate interactions through routine and consistent boundaries. The adoption team will be looking for a family who will help maintain contact with a younger sibling who is being placed separately. If you are a family who can focus lots of one-on-one time with these amazing survivors, you would reap great rewards by having them be a part of your family.

Kaiden and Gavin are available for adoption through the State of Oregon. For contact information, please contact the Idaho CareLine at 1-800-926-2588.
