Juanita

Age: 9

"Hi, my name is Juanita and I just turned nine. I like to swim and ride my bike. Someday I would like to live in a big blue house with a brother and two sisters. I would have a nice mom who likes to play games like Junior Scrabble and a dad that is at work during the day. He would wrestle with me and let me run in the house without getting cross with me. My parents would let me have a cat, a dog and a fish. They would be nice and loving and safe.

My favorite foods are every kind of pizza, watermelon, salad, fruits and vegetables and lemons! I really like lemons."

Loving and sweet, nine year-old Juanita has a personality that is as appealing as her warm brown eyes. They always seem to shine with fun. Her Hispanic and African-American heritage gives her soft brown skin and lots of curly brown hair. She loves to wear her hair in French braids or in a ponytail.

Juanita loves having fun, telling jokes and laughing with adults. wjuanita26-20-07.jpg - 15528 BytesHer high energy is a positive personality trait that she's learned to transition into quieter moments, especially when she is gently reminded. She also likes reading, typing on a computer, coloring and cuddling with family pets. When Juanita is matched with active and fun-loving parents, she will soon show how very much she wants to be loved and appreciated. Those who know her describe her as, "gracious and loving."

Juanita's social worker tells us she is so easy to love! She appreciates the sincere regard of adults. She likes helping out around the house with cooking and cleaning and is very responsive to words of praise.

Juanita needs a committed family with a consistent daily routine. She would thrive with nurturing parent(s) who use a variety of behavior modification strategies plus prescribed medication to address attention deficit with hyperactivity. If Juanita were your only child or had older siblings as mentors, she would delight everyone with her generous spirit, her curiosity, and her love of life. If you will patiently convince her that she's a valued, worthwhile member of your family, she will soon reward you with a lifetime of priceless affection!

Juanita is available for adoption through the State of Oregon. For contact information, please contact the Idaho CareLine at 1-800-926-2588.
