Anthony

Age: 17

"Hi, my name is Anthony. I like a lot of things. Reading, video games, workin on cars... I really like working with my hands. I also like homework. It helps keep my grades up. I also like dogs. I'd like a Pit Bull or Rotweiller for a pet, and I might even like to be a veternarian some day.

I don't really care where I live, but I definitely want a mom and a dad. The most important quality I want in parents is that they are patient and will take the time to talk to me and listen to what I have to say. And I don't want drama! I would like to do fun things with a family, like go to Lagoon, the ocean, football games, or even just play catch."

Anthony has experienced a number of significant losses in his life. He wants a family that will not "give up" on him and will encourage him to make positive decisions in his life. Anthony will do best with parents who take the time to talk with him in a calm and understanding way. Anthony is looking to be loved unconditionally and be welcomed as a member of a permanent family. He realizes that this will take a lot of work on his part, but he is eager to meet the challenge.

Anthony's adoption team is looking for a family that has the patience and parenting skills to help him overcame any obstacles that he may face. A family that is aware of and has access to community resources to provide Anthony with the best supports possible will be an asset to his well-being. Anthony needs a family that will cater to his educational, social, and personal needs. He will do best in a home that has older children or no children at all. Anthony is a wonderful young man, with a terrific smile, a gentle soul, and a yearning for a permanent home. With positive, consistent, and affectionate supports in his life, Anthony will surely be on the way to reaching his potential.
