Benjamin

Ages: 10

"My name is Ben and I'm ten years old. I am really interested in astronomy and space. I like to learn about the different constellations and the planets."

Ben learns best when he can have a hands-on experience. He loves to work with his hands building and taking things apart. He is inquisitive about the world around him. He does well in his fifth grade class and enjoys math and science. Ben loves animals and had the opportunity to care for some goats and pigs this summer. He is a very compassionate and sensitive child.

Ben needs adoptive parents who can help him learn the importance of natural consequences in his life. He will do best in a family who can be patient with him as he learns to express his feelings and emotions appropriately. Ben needs parents who are firm, yet loving, and can teach him to establish and respect boundaries. He has been cared for by multiple caretakers in his life; therefore, he has a need for safety and stability. Ben has two younger sisters with whom he needs to maintain contact after his adoption.
