Francesca

Age: 14

"My name is Francesca, and I am 14 years old. I am a loving person who likes to be gentle and nice to others. I am pretty humorous, and I love doing makeovers and giving massages. I would like to be a massage therapist someday or maybe a photographer. I love taking pictures.

I love going to movies and having fun with friends and family. I also really enjoy shopping for clothes, makeup, shoes and perfumes. I like the new J-Lo perfume.

I would like to stay in Northern Idaho because I have friends there, but if not, I would like to be able to keep in contact with my friends and a former foster parent.

I would like a family who will support me and help me get through hard times. I want to stay with a family that can help me with school and give support with friends. I would also like to change my name to Larissa Cisneros when I am adopted. I want to make a whole new start to my life. That includes being with a family who will stick."

Francesca's social worker describes her as funny and very endearing. "She makes me laugh outloud because of her fun-loving personality. She can keep you on your toes trying to keep up with her engaging banter," says her social worker in regards to spending time with her. At first, she can seem reserved, but given time, she will let her personality shine through. Having a family that can support her in her life as well as respect her Hispanic heritage and create opportunities to participate in this rich culture are very important for Francesca.

Due to many losses and traumatic experiences in this young lady's life, it is important for potential families to have knowledge of treatment options for children dealing with Reactive Attachment Disorder. Francesca is currently receiving community resources to help deal with these challenges, and it will be important to her further growth to continue treatment. She is continuing to learn more self-management skills daily.

If you are a stable couple or loving single parent who can remember the challenges of being a teenager and are willing to share in a safe and stable home, Francesca may someday share her many talents with you.
