Editor's Note: Window on the Clearwater has joined the Wednesday's Child network to help spread the word about children that are waiting for families to give them the loving care that they need. Each Wednesday we will profile a different child. For more information about Wednesday's Child and how you can be involved check the web site at: http://www.idahowednesdayschild.org/.

Mystica

Age: 12

Profile and Portrait provided by NWAE.

With an imagination that takes her across the globe and to the depths of the sea, Mystica (age 12) has so much creativity that she can often be found writing, drawing, or creating short plays. Mystica's favorite characters in her pieces are mostly, if not always, fairies and mermaids. Mention the sparkle and beauty of a mermaid's tail and you will be sure to win Mystica's heart. Mystica's unique and charming demeanor, in addition to her love for the spotlight, will certainly keep an adoptive family busy and energized.

Mystica has a small frame but a larger than life spirit. As Mystica prepares to enter her teen years, she is finding enjoyment and building her self-confidence through dressing up and experimenting with hairstyles and fashion. An impressionable young lady, she will need strong and healthy role models as she reaches new milestones.

Mystica has two younger siblings, Zoey and Brandon, who were featured in this Oregonian profile last Monday, October 5. Mystica and her siblings have a strong bond and a caring relationship. Mystica is excited about the thought of finding her own "forever family." The right family for Mystica will ensure that these siblings maintain a connection, even if they are not placed in an adoptive home together.

A family that will encourage Mystica to pursue her creative passion while also recognizing how much potential she has to grow into a healthy young lady is desired. Mystica requires a skilled parent or parents who have the ability to set limits in a firm yet loving manner. Mystica would benefit from parents who can advocate strongly for her education needs. Ideally, she would be the youngest child in the home. Her future family will need to have a lot of love, patience, and understanding and in return, Mystica will offer out an abundance of love and gratitude.
