Editor's Note: Window on the Clearwater has joined the Wednesday's Child network to help spread the word about children that are waiting for families to give them the loving care that they need. Each Wednesday we will profile a different child. For more information about Wednesday's Child and how you can be involved check the web site at: http://www.idahowednesdayschild.org/.

Dillion

Age: 5

Dillion (pronounced Dillon) is a boy with a brilliant smile, sweet disposition, and social nature. He has a vivid imagination and loves to engage others in his creative play. His favorite items are his tape measure, his laptop computer, his marble and a calculator. (His calculator is his most favorite thing as it has both numbers and buttons!) and he even sleeps with it at night. He also enjoys watching cartoons, is fascinated with busses of all kinds, and likes playing with other children.

Dillion has a high IQ of 112 and is a very intelligent young man. When he is given structure and maintains his medication, he has few behavior issues and is an easy child to parent. He is currently in a private daycare/preschool doing the Kindergarten curriculum. He will need to be enrolled in Kindergarten next semester. Dillion is very polite and likes to do things on his own. He has a younger sister who is very important to him, and it will be important that he maintain that connection. Dillion needs speech therapy for a mild speech delay and OT/PT for low tone issues. He has made significant progress in all areas since entering care two years ago.

Dillion is a great kid who is fun to be with. He is in need of an active family who can provide structure and opportunity. He would like a family with a little sister and animals. The adoption team will consider a two-parent family, as well as a single parent. He would do well in a family with other children and tends to be especially protective of younger girls. Dillion needs a permanent family who can meet his needs, advocate for him, and give him the time, love, and attention that all young children deserve. He has a lot to offer a family…… it could be yours!
