Editor's Note: Window on the Clearwater has joined the Wednesday's Child network to help spread the word about children that are waiting for families to give them the loving care that they need. Each Wednesday we will profile a different child. For more information about Wednesday's Child and how you can be involved check the web site at: http://www.idahowednesdayschild.org/.

Auston

Age: 10

"Hi, my name is Auston. I love to play soccer! I like all sports, and I love to play outside. Maybe my favorite is to ride my bike. I ride it whenever I can. I really want a family who will do things with me outside. For my Wednesday's Child day, I got to go bowling at Boise State, and I really liked it."

Auston is a wonderful young boy with a great sense of humor. He is very fun to be around and is pleasant and happy most of the time. Auston is very good at building things and figuring out how things work, and he especially likes playing with LEGOS. He enjoys the company of other children and plays well with others.

The ideal family for Auston will be one who understands how to work with children who have suffered severe neglect, in addition to understanding attachment issues and how to raise a child with ADHD. A structured environment that includes a lot of outdoor activity is a must for Auston. He needs resource help at school, as he struggles in a traditional classroom setting. Auston plays well, however, with other children and would do fine with other siblings. Because of his high energy, a two-parent family is ideal.

Auston has other siblings who have been adopted and has expressed an interest in maintaining contact. Once Auston has settled in to an adoptive home, occasional contact with his siblings might eventually be an option.

This young boy is sweet, funny, and fun to be with. If you can provide Auston with structure, a lot of outdoor play, and the love and patience he needs, he will treat your family with laughter and many hugs. Contact the CareLine today if you think you can provide the family setting Auston needs.
