Glenna Johnston and John Werner are the winners! Bill Adams is the answer for Week 65 of Orofino History Trivia, a special feature to celebrate the history and heritage of Clearwater Country. The photo was shared by Joe Goffinet, one of our readers from Washington, D.C. Bill Adams was born and raised in Orofino. There were seven children in his family, three boys and four girls. Bill said when he was young, he liked baseball, football and camping with his family. He graduated from Orofino High School in 1962. He worked in the woods for time before going to Viet Nam with the 116th Battalion of the Idaho National Guard during 1967-68. His career in the grocery business began when he return and was hired by Larry and Zada Roberts who had the Downtown Grocery which was in the space where Riverview Construction now has their offices at 230 Johnson Ave. He also worked for Pat Hayes at Hayes Foods for 23 years and finally at Barney's for 12 years.
