Jo McGill sent in the most correct information for Week 56. The photo this week is of Ralph and Edith (Dunlap) Shriver as Grand Marshals of the 1975 Orofino Lumberjack Parade. According to their son, Wayne, Ralph and Edith were very involved in the Grange which had a very successful food booth during Lumberjack Days. Ralph was born in Charolotte, MI in March 1887. His family moved to Pullman, WA in 1888 and Orofino in 1903 where they homesteaded. Ralph attend some of the first grade schools to be opened in Pullman and Orofino. As his father, he was a master carpenter. He was also involved with real estate. He was also involved in Odd Fellows. Ralph and Edith were married in 1909 in Orofino. She was born December 1885 in Nova Scotia and came with her family to Orofino in 1890. She attended the first grade school to be established in Orofino. She was very involved in the Rebekahs and Clearwater Valley Historical Society. The couple had four children, Stanley Louis, Morris Wendell, Neil Erwin, and Wayne Isaac.
