During the year 1902 a two-story frame building was erected behind what is now the IOOF Hall. It cost about $1,200 for the construction. Some people thought it was far too large and would not be filled for several years. However, it became too small in one year and another room was added next to the building. Another teacher was added too. These rooms accommodated the students for five years.
