Wednesday: Rises 5 miles southeast of Pierce

Thursday: Named for a food found in it

Friday: Flows into Lolo Creek

Musselshell Creek rises 5 miles southeast of Pierce in Clearwater County. It flows 10 miles before going into Lolo Creek which then flows into the Clearwater River drainage.

It was originally named in Nez Perce for the mussels that are found there. The name was later translated into English and that is what lasted.
