Dworshak Recreation District is a taxing district with a focus on providing recreation to the community. It is governed by a three-member board that has a secretary. They have helped to fund bleachers for the logging arena at the Orofino City Park, lights for the baseball field at Orofino High School, soccer, Little League and provided matching funds for docks at Dworshak Reservoir, among other things. The funds they provide are not to be used for labor on projects, but on materials and other needs.
