Monday: Snow

Tuesday: 1959

Bald Mountain Ski Hill 11 miles northwest of Pierce first opened in 1959 for employees of Potlatch Corporation living in Headquarters. According to Wikipedia, it opened to the public in the 1970s.

Clearwater Ski Club manages the area with the help of volunteers and local business support. The hill offers winter fun for the whole family on the land leased from Potlatch Corporation.

The summit is at 4800 feet above sea level and there is a vertical drop of 684 feet. It is usually open on school holidays and weekends during the ski season. It has one T-bar and one rope tow. Annual snow fall is 100 inches.
