The Gaylord Model C Book Charger that was recently donated to the Clearwater Historical Museum was used to check out books at the Clearwater Memorial Public Library from the late 1970s until about 2003. Prior to the book charger, books were listed in a notebook as they were checked out. After the book charger, the library converted to a computer check-out system.
Watch for a photo and more historical background on the machine shared by Chuck Johnson.
