"Canada Hill" or the upper part of Johnson and Main is the answer for Week 122 of Orofino History Trivia, a special feature to celebrate the history and heritage of Clearwater Country.

This photo shows what has long been called "Canada Hill" which was the developed area of town at in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This photo was taken looking east. One of the time period clues is that it was prior to the fire of 1906 that destroyed most of the existing town. According to Bernice Pullen, Clearwater Historical Museum director, when the buildings are examined carefully, you can tell the photos is from 1905 because the IOOF Hall is not yet built. On Johnson Ave. you can also see the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Noble Hotel and a school.
