CLEARWATER HEALTH AND REHABILIATION

Clearwater Health and Rehabilitation (CHR) is a long-term and short-term 24-hour skilled nursing facility that was built in 1969 and has been in operation continuously for 37 years.

What does this mean to the residents in Orofino and Clearwater County? They can count on professional, licensed staff to care for them or for a loved one. CHR is a small facility with a family atmosphere, long-term staff that lives in the community and is dedicated to delivering quality care and services to neighbors.

The quality healthcare services that are provided for short-term and long-term stay residents are impressive for a small rural location. Comprehensive rehabilitation services include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. The therapy program is designed to improve an individual's ability to function and assist the resident to reach his/her highest level of independence. CHR is the only provider of occupational and speech therapy in a three county area. Short-term respite (time-out for the caregiver) stays are available to support local families who are primary caregivers for a loved one. Nutritional monitoring by a registered dietitian and a restorative dining program are both factors which result in few weight losses and healthy residents. Post surgical services such as intravenous therapy, wound care management, care for strengthening after heart surgery/attack, strengthening after any illness and much more is offered with a professional team approach.

Many in the community have come in for short-term stays and returned home well on the road to recovery. Approximately 50 percent of admissions to CHR return to their homes or to a home like environment. CHR has developed a strong professional working relationship with other healthcare providers in the community. This fosters continuity of care and availability of local physicians, all who have patients at CHR and visit the facility no less than monthly.

Clearwater Health and Rehabilitation is located at 1204 Shriver Rd. If you feel you or a family member might need the support of a skilled nursing facility please call for further information and to schedule a tour.
