On Saturday, Sept. 17 the Adult Learning Center kicked-off a raffle of the complete set of new Harry Potter books. The kick-off took place during the Ice Cream Social at the Clearwater Historical Museum. The raffle will continue through the month of October and the drawing will be held Nov. 19 during the Christmas Festival. What a great Christmas present to win.

The Harry Potter book set was donated to the Adult Learning Center by Joe and Charlene Douglas from Val Tech, LLC. The set is brand new and contains the large paperback boxed set of Books 1-5, the hardback copy of the new Book 6, and the two paperback schoolbooks.

Tickets are one for $1 or six for $5. They can be purchased by stopping by the Adult Learning Center, right behind Clearwater Memorial Public Library on Michigan or Val Tech located on Johnson Ave.

The Adult Learning Center provides confidential tutoring and educational services to adults in Clearwater County in order to help them attain functional literacy in all skill areas. Donations help support learning programs at the center.
