National Weather Service issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch

National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Clearwater and surrounding counties until midnight Thursday Pacific Daylight Time.

Included in the watch are: Lewis, Nez Perce, Idaho, Latah, Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone in Idaho.

Thursday afternoon: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 94. West northwest wind around 7 miles per hour.

Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 55 degrees. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
