Dive team conducting training session Dworshak Reservoir Tuesday

Clearwater County Sheriff's Office would like to notify the public that the Clearwater County Search and Rescue Dive Team will be conducting a training exercise on Tuesday, Aug. 4, between Bruce's Eddy and Merry's Bay on Dworshak Reservoir.

As part of the exercise, divers will be recovering a weighted training mannequin that simulates a drowning victim. Those who are in the area and observe this activity, please be aware that this is only a training exercise and not the recovery of an actual victim.

For everyone's safety, Sheriff John Smith asks that boaters and other visitors give the dive team plenty of room to work and use caution while passing through the area.

"Thank you for your cooperation as our Search and Rescue Dive Team continues to train and prepare for real-world emergencies," Smith said.
