Loaded log truck tips over on Grangemont On Monday, at about 4:27 a.m., Clearwater County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a single log truck accident at approximately mile post 21 on Grangemont Rd., according to CCSO Chief Deputy David Koontz. The fully loaded log truck tipped over spilling its load of logs on to the shoulder, but the wrecked truck blocked the downhill lane of traffic. The driver of the log truck was extricated by citizens who came upon the crash very shortly afterward. That driver was transported via ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital due to known and unknown injuries, Koontz said. Frank's towing from Grangeville was dispatched for the tow and See R Services assisted with a self-loader to retrieve the log load. One lane of traffic was closed for almost six hours due to the extended time for the dispatch and arrival of the tow service. Further details of the driver's condition are unknown at this time, Koontz concluded. |
