Thursday: Lived at the Arcadian Nursing Home prior to his death Louis Crampton, a pioneer Association worker, was born July 13, 1875 in Bay City, Mich. He held a number of positions with the Association, woodworker, timber cruiser, custodian and bull cook, according to White Pines and Fires: Cooperative Forestry in Idaho and other information by A.B. Curtis. He came to Idaho in 1898 and served in the Spanish American War. According to his World War I draft record, he had brown hair, blue eyes and was tall. His death certificate says both parents were born in Canada and he never married. Louis lived at the Arcadian Nursing Home in Greer and died Aug. 11, 1932 in Greer.
