Evacuation levels have been updated in Nez Perce County All areas around the Gwen Fire in Nez Perce County have been changed to Level 1 (Ready). Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office is still working to assess the damages sustained. Those who have been the victim of the Gwen Fire and have lost a residence please call 1-800-RED-CROSS. U.S. Highway 12 is currently open. Please be cautious and drive slowly when travelling US 12 between Arrow Bridge and Cherry Lane. With the steep terrain, the damage from the fire and recent rainfall, there have been objects falling onto the roadway causing flat tires and a short closure in the early morning hours of July 30. There are crews monitoring the roads and clearing debris.
