Adrian Nelson, Jr., was the secretary-treasurer of the Potlatch Timber Protective Association from 1949-1965 and the Clearwater Timber Protective Association from 1951-1965. He was also employment manager for Potlatch Forests, Inc. After graduation from University of Idaho he was chief clerk for Ben Bush, state forester. He became a player of national prominence in basketball while at U of I.

He married Helen Wann and they had two daughters and one son. He celebrated his 80th birthday August, 29, 1981 and passed away the following July, according to A.B. Curtis in White Pines and Fires: Cooperative Forestry in Idaho.
