Saturday: Remembered by many Boehls cabin is a famous landmark in Clearwater County that many people remember, especially those involved in firefighting for Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Association. The orginal Boehls cabin started in 1905 when Lou Boehls homesteaded on the location . Potlatch Timber Protective Association developed the area as an administrative field site for fire protective activities. Boehls worked for the Potlatch Association for several years, just as many high school and college students have more recently. The original Boehls cabin is under the backwaters of Dworshak Reservoir. The current Boehls Cabin is located in a somewhat remote area known as the Floodwood.
