Orofino Fire among multiple agencies responding to CFI Mill fire in Kooskia

Orofino Fire Department is among a multiple of fire agencies that have responded to a fire at the CFI Mill in Kooskia at mile post 24 on Idaho Highway 13.

At about 8:38 p.m., the Idaho County Dispatch Center was notified that the boiler room at the CFI Mill was fully engulfed. Multiple fire departments are on scene providing assistance.

As of publication time, there are no injuries. There are no road detours at this time but please avoid the area. No other structures are involved at this time. This is an active fire and Idaho County Sheriff's Office will provide updates when more information is available.

Agencies involved include: Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Kooskia Fire Department, Ridge Runner Fire Department, BPC Fire Department, Harpster Fire Department, Kamiah Fire Department, Grangeville Fire Department, Orofino Fire Department, Kooskia Ambulance, Avista Power Company and Amerigas Company.
