Clarabell Judd Brown was born Aug. 16, 1922 at Fraser in the Reed House, where at the time of her death in 2014, her grandson, Cody and his family were living. Her parents were Lawrence and Bell Judd. She lived in Fraser her entire life until moving to Brookside Landing in March of 2011. She was active in 4-H from her youth and spent 25 years as an adult leader. After graduating from Weippe High School in 1940, she worked at the draft board in Orofino. She was also an active member of the Fraser Grange where she became a charter member at 14. She was a member of "The Get Together Club" and the extension. She married the 'boy next door', Marvin C. Brown, whom she first met in third grade. They were happily married for 29 years. The couple spent most their marriage farming, until his death in 1972. They had four children, Nancy, Danny, Robert and Neil. They were very supportive of their children's activities. Clarabell remained on the farm until March of 2011 and enjoyed her grandchildren and their visits. She liked flower, playing the piano and crossword puzzles. Playing cards with family and friends was another her hobbies. As a sports fan, she particularly enjoyed Gonzaga College basketball, the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks. She passed away May 20, 2014 at the age of 91. Sponsored by:
