COVID-19 situation at Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino updated

Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino is among the facilities in the area to be impacted by COVID-19 in the last few weeks.

According to Warden Terema Carlin they are using all of the safety measures they can to slow and maybe even stop the spread.in the facility. As of Thursday, they had 106 positive inmates, 55 are asymptomatic and 51 symptomatic. None of the inmates is considered acute and they do not have any inmates hospitalized. They have 135 inmates that are recovered.

Staff numbers are 5 currently COVID-19 positive and out quarantining. There are also 29 recovered and approved to return to work, Carlin said.
