Pittman was born May 17, 1918 in St Helens, OR. Her husband, Jack Pittman preceded her in death. An earlier marriage to Claire Forsberg ended in divorce. She passed away Sept. 30, 2003. Mary worked as a cook at the Lumbermen's Hotel and as a cake decorator at Jean's Bakery. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters, the Orofino Dance Club and Garden Club. She loved to travel, dance and stay at the beach. She also enjoyed visiting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked on community projects and was always ready for fun. She loved gardening and metal detecting. Her dream was to walk the Great Wall of China which she did at age 80. She also traveled to Mexico and Alaska when she was in her 80s. Mary enjoyed weekend drives to enjoy local town festivals and shopping with her lifelong friend, Morie Snyder. Sponsored by:
