Three years after that, they moved to Spokane where she graduated from high school. In 1940 she moved with her husband and daughter, Betty to Orofino. Her husband worked in the accounting business. When her son, Norman, was 15, she went back to college and earned a full teaching degree from the University of Idaho. She then taught sixth grade at Orofino Elementary School for 20 years before retiring. She was the first resident at Brookside Landing Retirement Community and was involved in many volunteer organzations. She died at the age of 103. Sponsored by:
