During Idaho's Centennial Celebration in 1990, a time capsule was place in a rock and mortar structure at Orofino's City Park. It is to be opened in 2090. The plaque on the front was engraved by Conrad Anderson who at the time was a Clearwater County Deputy Sheriff. Inside the time capsule are items such as documents and photos taken from the time capsule that was placed at Canoe Camp Historical Park in a cairn in the 1930s. 1990 items such as an Orofino City budget were placed in the new capsule as well. Outside the capsule, but inside the structure, is a special bottle of Centennial wine from southern Idaho.

While it is in a prominent place, people are usually so used to it they forget it is there.
