Cody

Age: 16

Cody is a sweet young man whose bright grin and shy demeanor will capture any parent's heart. He desires to have a family that are avid outdoors people, a family that will give him 100 percnet and use some creativity in helping him to successfully manage his behaviors when they become overwhelming. He loves biking, hiking, camping, hunting, and 4-wheeling. He also enjoys playing basketball and video games.

Cody is 16 years old, but his needs are more of an 8-9 year old. He needs parents who are patient with his true abilities and challenges. He would benefit from parents who have the right balance of love and boundaries, can explain things in a way that Cody will understand, and will not fault him when he does not grasp something that other children his age understand easily. He will need support well into adulthood, so a family who is in it for the "long haul" is the right fit for him.

Either a single parent family or a couple would fit the bill for Cody. He would thrive as the only child, where he could receive the love and attention of a parent without having to compete with siblings. Cody loves animals, but needs close supervision around family pets. Cody longs to be a part of a family, to be loved without condition and to have parents who believe in him.
