Monday: Greer Tuesday: 28 Wednesday: Special care Thursday: Place of rest The Arcadian ('Place of rest') Nursing Home in Greer was started by Eva and Cal Whitney and was the first nursing home in the county. Their daughter, Ruth Bird, said it was mostly a home for old lumberjacks, though a few ladies also lived there. They had space for 28 people and the old lumberjacks really appreciated the things people did for them. They were a lot of nice guys. Sponsored by:
