Red Flag Warning issued for Saturday

National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Clearwater region for gusty winds and low humidities that will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific Time Saturday.

Breezy winds will begin Saturday morning, but the strongest and most concerning winds will occur in the afternoon. South to southwest winds will increase to 25 to 35 miles per hour with higher gusts through the afternoon. Ridge tops and any exposed elevations will see gusts up to 45 mph. Winds will shift to the west and northwest during the late afternoon and evening and decrease.

Minimum humidities are expected to be 10 to 15 percent. Humidity recovery Saturday evening will be good.

Isolated, mainly dry, thunderstorms are forecast.
