The second Orofino Bridge across the Clearwater River was built in 1938 and stood until it was replaced by the current bridge in 1999. The landmark had a steel overhead frame that was common to bridges of the time. It also sported a lighted 'Orofino' sign on each side. One of those signs is now at the Clearwater Historical Museum.
